SEAL A VOW · KEEP WHAT MATTERS

Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: August 31, 2026

Plain-language summary

Vowseal is an invitation-only beta for recording shared commitments and relationship history. Use it honestly and safely. Beta points and tokens are in-product records, not money or investments; digital-legacy tools are drafts, not legal wills.

This summary helps explain the document, but the sections below are the operative terms.
01

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vowseal mobile application, website and related private-beta services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. The beta is invitation-only. You must provide accurate registration information and may not sell, transfer or misuse an invitation code.

02

Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting access to your devices and authentication methods. Notify us through the in-app feedback or privacy controls if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts or attempt to bypass invitation, security or rate-limit controls.

03

Vows and relationship records

Vowseal helps people record commitments, participants, evidence, progress and outcomes. A Vow is a product record and social commitment; it is not automatically a legally enforceable contract. Users are responsible for deciding what they promise and for obtaining any professional advice needed for high-stakes matters.

Do not create a Vow that is illegal, coercive, unsafe, discriminatory, deceptive or designed to facilitate self-harm, violence, exploitation, regulated gambling or unauthorized financial activity. Do not upload evidence or personal information you lack the right or consent to share.

04

Promise Points, LoveLetter and Personal Tokens

Promise Points, LoveLetter credits, Personal Tokens, reputation scores, rewards, collectible items and similar beta features are limited, revocable in-product records. Unless Vowseal later expressly states otherwise in separate written terms, they:

  • have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for legal tender;
  • are not securities, deposits, bank accounts, cryptocurrency or investment products;
  • do not represent ownership, equity, debt or a claim against Vowseal or another user; and
  • may be adjusted, suspended, reset or removed to correct errors, protect users, test economic rules or comply with law.

Do not purchase, sell or trade beta units outside mechanisms expressly offered by the Service.

05

Digital legacy and proof of life

Annual plans, digital-legacy instructions, memorial messages, trusted contacts, proof-of-life check-ins and conditional gifts are organizational and remembrance tools only during this beta. They are not a will, trust, power of attorney, beneficiary designation, medical directive, legal death determination, custody instruction or automatic asset-transfer mechanism.

Do not rely on these features instead of qualified legal, financial or medical advice or legally valid documents. Vowseal will not determine that a person has died from a single user action or missed check-in.

06

Your content and visibility

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Vowseal a limited, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, process and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service and honor your visibility choices.

You are responsible for selecting the correct audience. Content marked “Tell the World” may be visible to people who are not your friends and may be copied by others. Removing content may not remove copies already shared by other users or retained for legitimate audit, safety or legal purposes.

07

Moderation and enforcement

We may investigate reports, preserve evidence, limit visibility, suspend features, remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, correct abuse or comply with law. Reputation and adjudication systems are beta features and may contain errors; available appeal tools should be used to request review.

08

Beta service and intellectual property

The Service is under active development and may change, contain defects, experience downtime or lose test data. Features may be added, limited or removed. Keep independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose.

Vowseal’s software, branding, designs and other materials—excluding user content—are owned by Vowseal or its licensors and protected by applicable law. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, copy or commercially exploit the Service except as permitted by law or written authorization.

09

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the beta Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, legal effect, accuracy of reputation scores or preservation of data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vowseal and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of data or harm caused by another user. Vowseal’s aggregate liability arising from the beta Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Vowseal during the previous 12 months or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

10

Ending use, changes and disputes

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion in the app. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security threats, legal requirements or discontinuation of the beta.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice or renewed acceptance. Disputes will be handled under applicable law in a court with lawful jurisdiction; this initial beta version does not require private arbitration.

Questions may be submitted through in-app Privacy & Account Controls. Before public launch, Vowseal will publish and monitor a dedicated support address at the vowseal.com domain.
